When you enroll your child in 1000 Books B4K, you will receive your first chart and folder. For each book you read, write the title on your chart. Don’t worry if your child has a favorite book—you can read the same book more than once and have it count each time!

When you have read 100 books to your child, bring the completed chart back to the library. Share your favorite books with your librarian. Your child will get his or her name on our Wall of Fame, a sticker and a new chart for the next 100 books.

After every 100 books, be sure to pick up your next chart.

When your child reaches 1,000 books, he or she will receive his or her very own book to keep, a Certificate of Achievement, and gets a super jumpstart on success in school!
