Who can get a card
The library will provide service at no cost to people who reside or own property in our legal service area which includes the following: Croton Township. Non-resident cards are available to anyone outside our service area for a fee of $30.00 a year or $15.00 for 6 months. How to Get Your Card To apply for a card, you need to have a valid driver's license or state ID with your name and current street address, you must live within Croton Township. Children under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present to sign their registration card. Replacement cards issued due to loss, misplacement, or damage will cost $5.00. Borrowing Limits Patrons are limited to 100 items total on a card, 10 of which may be DVDs or CDs. Non-Residents are limited as to how much they can check out. Placing Holds Patrons may place holds on materials within the Lakeland Library Cooperative (LLC) by accessing the online catalog HERE. Material less than 6 months old owned by other libraries cannot be placed on hold. These items can only be placed on hold by a Croton Township Library (CTL) patron if they are currently owned by CTL. Books older than 6 months owned by any LLC library may be placed on hold for pick-up at CTL. Renewing Borrowed Material Items can be renewed one to two times by accessing your patron account HERE or by calling the library at 231-652-1615. Please be aware that some items cannot be renewed. If you are unable to access your patron account, please call the library during open hours to speak with a librarian. Library Fines Fines are as follows: Books, CDs, audio books, magazines and non-fiction DVDs are 15¢ per item and per day Feature Film DVDs are $1.00 per item and per day. |
